ArtXMusic - Association...

The association ArtXMusic – where the “X” represents the connecting interface between art and music – carries the motto “Beyond the Spotlight.” Its purpose is to provide a platform for artists, musicians, and DJs, particularly those who have had limited or no opportunities to present their work publicly. It is committed to making creative forms of expression visible and to sustainably fostering artistic development. In line with its motto, the focus is on emerging talents. Artists who are already regionally recognized may be included if it serves the association’s purpose; however, the emphasis remains on less established creatives. The association promotes exchange, community, and cultural diversity through events, projects, and collaborations.

Michelle Gyr

My name is Michelle and I have originally a background in transport and costums. In recent years, however, I have discovered a passion for the events sector and have steadily developed this through various projects and practical experience. A defining moment was my training as an event manager, during which I also had the pleasure of meeting Vincent. Right from our very first project together, it was clear what drives us: to offer a platform to emerging artists and create space for new, creative voices. With our graduation project, "ArtConnection", we laid the foundations for this. We are now bringing this experience to the ArtXMusic Festival – with the aim of continuing our vision on a bigger stage and raising the profile of even more artists.

Adriano Fontana

Adriano Fontana is a gallerist, curator, and lighting designer, as well as the owner of arkadia-design.ch. In his work, he combines art, space, and light into cohesive concepts that go beyond the purely visual and make atmosphere tangible. Through his programming of Halle 80 and the Hair Atelier, he creates platforms for contemporary art and curates exhibitions that encourage dialogue between artists and the public. His curatorial approach is characterized by openness, a spirit of experimentation, and a refined sensitivity to spatial staging. As a lighting designer, he develops bespoke lighting solutions and creates his own objects that unite functionality with artistic expression. His work is distinguished by a clear formal language, an awareness of materials, and the deliberate impact of light within a space.

Vincent Villard

Hi, I’m Vincent, currently studying Visual Communication & Digital Spaces at the Basel Academy of Art and Design. My passions lie in DJing, producing music, visuals, art, and the act of creating itself. I’m especially fascinated by the interplay between different creative forms — from painting to DJing — and how they can influence and inspire one another. Beyond my personal work, I’m deeply interested in bringing people together and supporting emerging talent. I’ve organized several events in the fields of art and music, each of which has given me valuable experience and continues to motivate me to grow and expand my horizons. What truly drives me is connecting people — especially in times where many feel isolated or alone. I want to create spaces where individuals can meet, exchange ideas, and feel a sense of belonging through shared creative energy.
